All Before Naptime!

I feel bad that I haven't been updating Niamh's developement. Mainly for Niamh herself, when she looks back on this blog. Beth and I are pretty sure that Niamh takes after Daddy and must be fairly smart :)  She's been saying words well before she was 1, and has been really talking up a storm for the last few months. I guess she's more like her Grandma in that she has the gift of gab. Anybody who knows Grandma Colleen knows what I'm talking about!

Here is a list of words (accompanied by some pictures) that Beth and I wrote down that Niamh said before she took her nap this morning. They are mostly in order and we tried not to repeat words that we already wrote down, because she definitely has her favorites that she repeats (NO, for example!)...

And this was all before her nap!!!

She probably knows hundreds of more words, it's crazy how quickly she picks things up. She's been starting to put together 2 and 3 word phrases, too. And I'm pretty sure I've gotten her to count up to 2, we're working on 3! But that's for another blog.

Have a great day everybody!

Merry Christmas!

"Why are you making me sit on this guy's lap???"

Niamh wasn't quite sure how she felt about Santa, although after he gave her a candy cane and we left, she kept trying to go back in the exit and saying "Santa, santa, cane, more."

Niamh hopes everyone had as fun of a Christmas as she did!

Tiny Niamh-y in my Hand

We dressed Niamh in this heart shirt yesterday...

I sent the above picture to Beth this morning and received back this email... "9 months. Same shirt."

Then a link to my Valentine's Day blog and another email that said "It was actually 9 months to the day yesterday, when I put it on her." If you look at the first picture on that blog, you'll see that Niamh was wearing the exact same shirt on Valentine's Day that she was wearing yesterday! Exactly 9 months ago!

(Please ignore the fact that she still had the shirt on this morning haha)

Oh, my tiny little girl!

I went back through my pictures and pulled a few out...

Despite those huge cheeks from Valentine's Day, Niamh has gained weight in the last 9 months, I swear!

Have a great night!

And Happy Valentine's Day in November!

A month later...

Wow, it's been over a month since I've written. Needless to say, blogging has been more challenging than I was anticipating. I have yet to find a system that helps me keep up with it. It's almost been a year since I wrote my first blog post! I can't believe it!

I have LOTS and LOTS of updating to do (I literally have like 6000 pictures to go through haha), but I'll try to ease my way back into it. Here's a few random pictures of Niamh from recent days. Some of them are on my facebook page and some aren't. She's growing up so fast! Sigh.

This one was taken today, Niamh is wearing Momma's awesome creations...

Another one today from lunch at Drunken Fish. Niamh apparently didn't want her picture taken. This is a face that I don't see much on her, I'm going to name it her "Sopranos" face.

My little angel...

At a pumpkin patch in Waterloo last weekend...

A couple of weeks ago enjoying kolaches for the first time...

Niamh a couple of days ago reading in one of her new favorite spots...

 Stop and smell the flowers!

And let your Mom smell them too!

Have a great weekend!

Stay tuned for an AWESOME Halloween costume!

Fish Face

While we were in Florida over the weekend, we visited Bok Tower Gardens. It's a pretty cool place and hopefully I'll post some more pictures of it soon. But one thing that Niamh got to do was feed some really large fish. Then, she proceeded to imitate them...

One of the fish must've been playing air guitar, I guess...

Have a great night! (Press Play below for a little Fish Face Dance...)

Apple Pickin'

Niamh had a fun day apple picking on Sunday. She got to spend some time with her cousin Clare. Niamh was very tired... She was my assistant at a photoshoot earlier in the morning. If you look closely, you can see her Canon camera tshirt (Thank you Uncle Chris and Aunt Signe!). Look how cute and well behaved Clare looks...

That is, until Niamh becomes too irresistible!

Check out their matching pony tails.

Niamh was very excited at all of the "balls" on the ground and in the trees...

The apples were delicious...

Here is Niamh working hard for a Golden Delicious...

Grandpa, too...

 The perfect size...

Aww, isn't this sweet? (but I'm sure you can tell what's coming next...)

Have a great night!

Give your loved ones BIG bear-hug-headlocks tonight!
